Becoming a Therapist

I'd like to share a little bit about my journey to becoming a therapist. In 2020, I experienced a setback in my entrepreneurial endeavors and, with the onset of the pandemic, I found myself at a crossroads. Unsure of what my next step should be, I decided to pursue my interest in counseling and enroll in graduate school.

After applying to several schools, I was accepted to Golden Gate University's Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology program, where I immersed myself in coursework for two years. Throughout my studies, I rediscovered a true passion for learning about humans and their experiences.

Following my coursework, I trained at the Pacific Center for Human Growth in Berkeley, which serves the LGBTQIA+ and BOPOC communities. I interned there for a year before moving on to work for the Liberation Institute and eventually joining the Center for Mindful Psychotherapy, before starting I’m Down.

I find great satisfaction in helping individuals navigate their challenges and work towards creating a life that aligns with their values and goals. If you're considering therapy, I'm here to support you on your journey towards healing and growth.
